If you REALLY want to transit the Panama Canal...

One could end up with the impression that passing the Panama Canal in a yacht is also something that is done with the blink of an eye...

But this is far from the truth. I have found a couple of really informative websites/discussion threads, that explains in detail how to travel the Canal in a pleasure craft/yacht and what can happen if things are going really bad.
