Sailing at Cowes Week - Dee Caffari
Another fabulous Cowes week comes to an end and many smiling guests of Aviva have had an enjoyable experience. They have sailed onboard the Open 60 and seen a little of what Cowes Week is all about. The sun came out on occasion and the wind was plenty to sail with. |

Roxy Jam - Sam Davies
Our adventures in the Pays Basque were VERY tiring, but LOTS of fun! We set off three weeks ago, in a nice Bay of Biscay storm - Westerly wind 30-45 knots! That was another good training session, as we screamed down towards Biarritz at speeds of over 20 knots! 14 hours after leaving Lorient, we swapped our ski-masks and drysuits for shorts and T-shirt as the wind dropped off and the sun came out. |

Ready for Sailing at Skandia Cowes Week
It’s been very busy here since the Artemis Transat, but things are moving forwards. We noticed this morning that on the skipper page of the Vendee Globe website we had been moved from the “Pre-registered skippers” side to the “Registered skippers” side and our race entry number is 25, so that‘s it, we‘re officially in! It’s quite a milestone for us after ten years of work. We’ve been smiling all day! |

Time for a holiday - Dee Caffari
After some interesting sailing and an eventful race last weekend we have had a busy week. Back out on the water for a couple of days sailing and getting some more accurate calibrations for our wind instruments allowed us to enjoy an almost empty Solent in comparison to the weekend. The guys |

If Steve White from the UK is any indication, you do it with a combination of hard work, sacrifice, and a truck load of gumption. Steve attracted the attention of the world in May, when he brought his self-funded open 60 sailboat across the line of the Artemis Transat, qualifying for the Vendée Globe.
