BMW Oracle Multihull Sailboat Testing
08 Oct San Diego, California - BMW Oracle Racing started testing its new 90 foot sailing trimaran in the waters off San Diego yesterday. After her 1,200 mile trip from the Pacific Northwest, the multihull was finally allowed to strut her stuff for San Diego sailing fans, and those lucky enough to be out on the water Tuesday were treated to a great show as the crew seemed eager to brush the dust of those sails, and experience the thrill of flying a hull in the warm San Diego waters. |

04 Sep Anacortes, USA - BMW Oracle Racing’s new 90 foot multihull sailboat hoisted sail for the first time this week in Anacortes, Washington. “This boat is incredibly challenging,” said skipper Russell Coutts. Coutts and the BMW Oracle crew have been working with the crew from Groupama's famous multihulls, including YachtPals own Franck Cammas. New Racing Trimarans - The Big and the Beautiful
27 Aug A couple of incredible new sailing trimarans have hit the water in the last few days. In France, the enormous 131 foot Banque Populaire V, the largest racing multihull ever built, was launched. More than a third of the way around the world in Washington State, champagne crashed against the bow of the new BMW Oracle boat, which the team hopes to be the next America's Cup winner. While certainly big and beautiful, these boats weren't designed for aesthetics - they're built for speed.

New America’s Cup Multihulls
10 Apr America’s Cup multihull racing yacht now under construction in Anacortes Washington. The multihull yacht is being built for San Francisco’s Golden Gate Yacht Club (GGYC) team for a match against the defender later this year. This will be the third America’s Cup racing yacht the U.S. team has built in this small waterfront community 100 miles north of Seattle. |
