Record breaking Skandia Geelong Week - Australia

Record crowds enjoyed a hugely successful Skandia Geelong Week this year. The excitement of the event made for a great weekend for visitors and locals alike.  Skandia Geelong Week, Shoreside Coordinator, John Jackson was ecstatic with the numbers saying that it was the best crowd he’d ever seen at the event, “This would have to be the largest crowd I’ve seen here over the three days, it’s just been superb”.

Skandia Geelong Week boasted a record fleet of yachts, with entries from every state and territory in Australia, along with four international yachts. In total, 457 yachts sailed on the waters of Corio Bay for Australia’s largest sailing regatta, with over 4500 ‘yachties’ along for the ride.
