Nice boat! I can see why you fell in love with her, she's pretty! Sounds like she sails great too! I crew on an Islander 36 sailboat sometimes (http://yachtpals.com/moonpearl), they are great boats. I am super impressed with their ability to sail in light winds, and so easy at the helm. Nice choice, super practical boat, and a pleasure to look at too.

P.S. What is on that wood (cetol, oil, varnish)? Might want to think of having them put another coat on while sitting in that Mexico sun if it hasn't been done lately.
Thanks for the input re the wood. The exterior wood currently has varnish on it, badly done. I intend to have the boatyard in Ensenada sand it right down and re-apply (haven't decided what to use--suggestions?). I'm just waiting for the smoke to settle on my credit cards before I order some work done.
I also intend to have the standing rigging redone. It's too old, as is typical in southern California with the light winds. Baja Naval does not have a rigger on staff, so they would just measure and order. I'm assuming they can't go too far wrong with that.
Nice boat!
