Sex and the ... yacht?

Has someone got documented experience about which kind of yacht or boat best attracts women?

Is it the fancy sailboat for round-the-cans or matchrace, the colourful catamaran or the big and muscular powerboat?

Have a guy on a clumpsy but nice cruising sailboat got the faintest chance when lying in a fancy marina surrounded by speedboats and bulky power cruisers with sundeck and jacuzzi?

And can chances be boosted by playing the guitar in the cockpit and singing in the night? (or in my case: Not singing!) Or should I grab the accordion, playing old seamen's chanties?

Your advice will be appreciated! Laughing

The people attracted tend to

The people attracted tend to match the boat/skipper.

The rock star crowd will move to the fancy party boats.

Racers to the hot racing boats.

Even as a ratty old salt on an old boat in less than Bristol fashion I didn't lack for friends, both with and without benefits.

It is importany that the skipper and boat match in style and personality. This keeps things cohearant and builds confidence.

If you and you boat have been together long then you likely match.

Be yourself and do what you normally do. If you find someone interesting, offer a coffee and a sai or whatever seems right at the time.

If nothing else, say hello and offer simple conversation.

I have seen people walk past mega yachts to go learn abou the person sailing the small, plywood, engineless boat just because they thought it might be more interesting.

Quality or quantity?

You want bikini-clad deck jewelry, or someone to share your dreams? If the latter, then you have the right boat.

Dreams are okay...

Deck jewelry sounds really expensive and I have to renew my GPS/plotter installation. So I probably better stick with the ones that share my dream Wink

No, honestly - who needs extra decoration on the front deck when you got Andersen winches and a stainless Danforth anchor?

Ask what those "Ridiculously Ostentatious" boats are compensating for while waving your pinky suggestively. It hasn't worked for me yet, but it's still funny.

None of the above

From my experience its not the type or size of your boat, but the way you put her onto port, but the guitars always done me well too.
