Looking for info on Marquesas.....possible yacht charter. Just wondering what it would be like for a month or so and if it's a safe idea for Middle aged couple (59 and 67) as far as med facilities, flights, costs etc.

Travel to the Marquesas
The Marquesas are perfectly safe for couples such as ourselves ;)
The trouble is getting there if you don't plan on sailing a yacht there. Air Tahiti flies into the Marquesas from Tahiti or you can take a boat from Tahiti.

Marquesas
Very rolly anchorages, and more and fiercer kinds of biting insects that anywhere else I cruised to - no good snorkeling, either. I loved the Society Islands and Fiji, but wouldn't go to the Marquesas again.
