The Niña in San Francisco
Posted May 10th, 2008 by peter-lyons
The Niña in San Francisco Bay - I motored out a couple miles outside the gate and waited for them. It was good and windy with lots of whitecaps and suitably wild ocean conditions. I spotted them a mile or two further out, but they were motoring! They kept coming, and when they spotted me they started raising sails. But by the time they had a few up, they were right near the Golden Gate Bridge, and the wind had given out. - Peter Lyons lyonsimaging.com

I can't believe they were motoring the Niña into San Francisco Bay! Shame on them, what would Columbus think ;)
Columbus?
Well, since he didn't know where he was going nor where he had been, I'd bet he would have been a powerboater
