Maybe this isn’t you but you might know someone who has a suitable boat….please feel free to pass this on to them….

Team Mowbray Expeditions is looking to beg, borrow, charter, hire, rent (not buy or steal) a suitable boat for an upcoming trip departing Newcastle or Sydney (or possibly Brisbane) bound for Norfolk Island and return, starting “latish” September, finishing “middish” October 2008.

Do you know of someone who owns a suitable yacht who may be interested in making it available for the trip?

You may be an owner (or know one) who is not overly experienced at sea and is looking to log some miles so you/they are welcome to be involved! Perhaps this is an ideal opportunity for some free offshore training or just receive some income for the use of a boat as we do have some dollars available for a charter fee.

The boat we use does not need to be in survey.

The boat that we select must be able to accommodate a total of 8 people as a minimum and we surmise that it will be at least 45 feet long but more likely 50 feet plus.

The trip will be headed up by Team Mowbray Expeditions’ principle, Tony Mowbray.

Our expedition yacht, the 60ft “Commitment” is currently based in Ushuaia, Argentina in South America and, as such is not available for this upcoming trip…… hence our search.
