Nile Crocodiles

nilesailboat.jpg

The Nile Crocodiles are a sailing group in Cairo, we sail and race "Nile" class boats.  The Nile is a wooden dinghy with a centerboard and a main sail and jib, the boat has no spinnaker but it has a whisker for the jib.  There are about 12 remaining Nile boats in good sailing condition in Egypt, so we are an "endangered species" like the Nile crocodile :-).  We are trying to revive interest in this great boat that is both a family and a racing boat and can be sailed by people of all ages.
