O Man That's a Big Yacht

Al Said Mega Yacht

The mega yacht Al Said, owned by the Sultan of Oman, is the third largest yacht in the world. Like many luxury mega yachts, the Al Said was made by Lürssen Yachts of Germany, who worked in collaboration with Jonathan Quinn Barrett on the design of this enormous boat. During the yacht's construction in Germany, the Sultan's boat went by the unlikely nickname Project Sunflower.

Qaboos bin Said al Said was said to be very happy when he first took a look at the mega yacht's six spacious decks in 2007, and even more happy to see the final touches put on the on-board concert room, where his guests can listen to music performed by a 50-piece orchestra!

The yacht Al Said usually has a crew of about 140 people to keep the boat in tip top shape, and to give VIP service for up to 65 pampered guests. The guest lists often read like a "Who's Who in the UAE," and the guests themselves use helicopters to get to and from the yacht, which is usually berthed in Mutrah port.

This is a ship, not a yacht.

Al Said yacht or ship?

Al Said ship? Are you sure about that? Looks like a yacht to me.
