Delta Dinghy Ditch - Sailing the California Delta
California Delta US - You could smell the suntan lotion in the air this weekend when Sacramento's Lake Washington Sailing Club proved that you don't need big dollar sponsorship and celebrity sailors to host a successful regatta. A handful of boats, a patch of water, good friends, and beautiful weather is all it takes.
The club's annual Delta Dinghy Ditch was held on Saturday with a nice showing of 19' and under dinghies sailing the 30 mile course from Rio Vista up the sleepy California River Delta to the LWSC home port of Sacramento. Nice to see this fleet of little boats zipping along the Delta and even better to see these folks having such a great time under sail. What it's all about.

Great pictures, looks like everyone had a great time sailing on one of the premier boating waterways in the US of A. I for one love the SJ Delta, and SF Bay.
