Sailing at Cowes Week - Dee Caffari

Another fabulous Cowes week comes to an end and many smiling guests of Aviva have had an enjoyable experience. They have sailed onboard the Open 60 and seen a little of what Cowes Week is all about. The sun came out on occasion and the wind was plenty to sail with.

Now the team at Aviva Ocean Racing are working flat out to change the keel and also change the sails to the Vendee Globe Race sails. It is a very busy time with a long job list. To check we are happy with everything we have done I will be heading back out to sea to spend a week offshore sailing with just me onboard Aviva once again. It will be great for us girls to spend some quality time together again as the time is ticking by really quickly for the big race ahead.

The end of August will then see the team working hard with Mike Golding Yacht Racing in some two-boat testing, so both Mike and I can be confident with the crossovers on the numerous variables onboard. It will be a busy time but the rewards are going to be huge. Both teams are very excited by it.
