Yngling World Championship - Maimi: The British team of Sarah AYTON, Sarah WEBB and Pippa WILSON are the 2008 Yngling World Champions. While this led team had the title sown up with an unassailable leading margin, even before starting the medal race, the battle for silver was a much tighter affair.

Krystal Weir and crew of Australia had only a five point gap over Ulrike Schuemann and crew of Germany at the outset, so Weir needed to finish no further than two places behind Schuemann to hold on to second place for silver. Schuemann crossed in 7th, and Weir in 9th, securing the silver for the Australians by just one point, the Germans had to settle for bronze.
