The Spirit 100 Superyacht

Spirit Yachts has recently introduce the Spirit 100, and it's one beauty of a sailing superyacht.
The yacht is built in modern lightweight wood/epoxy with laser cut stainless steel-reinforced ring frames, laminar wood construction, the latest underwater foil profiles, and a highly efficient modern rig. Looks like the Spirit 100 is built for speed and style.
Spirit Yachts says that the lines and construction of the hull result in a yacht that is strong yet lightweight, with a big rig, fin & bulb keel and a semi-balanced spade rudder. The hull form is drawn to allow the yacht to move through the water creating minimal wake and a barely discernible quarter wave.

The hog, keel, stem, stern post, beam shelf and horn timber all constructed from straight grain Douglas Fir. All floors, engine beds, keel and mast support from Brazilian Mahogany.
24 major ring frames fitted along the hull from laminated Sapele at 150mm moulded and 80mm sided except for the primary structure area around the mast, chainplates and keel and in the rudder area where Laser Cut 6x100x100mm Stainless Steel H-section pierced ring frames are stitched to Sapele laminated frames.
The deck is swept quarter sawn teak with all brightwork in highly varnished Brazilian Mahogany. The keel is an SG steel foil with antimonal lead bulb and massive stainless steel keel bolts. The rudder stock and blade are engineered in carbon fibre running in stainless bearings. Spars are in carbon fibre by Nordic for extra lightness and stiffness, with rod rigging and spectra halyards.

Sails are by Quantum-Parker and Kay on below deck furling gear by Bartels. Winches are by Andersen with custom deck gear by Hercules. The engine is a flexibly mounted 200hp Yanmar driving a Gori 3-blade folding propeller. Fuel capacity is 1000 lts with 1000 lts water.
